Life Focus Group

Summer 2021

GETME is proud to announce the formation of our first Life Focus Group.

Molly LaddNow that the pandemic is apparently receding, many are asking, “What do I want my life to look moving forward? What really matters to me?”

A Life Focus Group is a small, weekly gathering where we share our experiences and listen to one another’s thoughts, feelings and stories on topics of universal human interest.

Each week we’ll select a theme that touches all of us in some way, and use it as a springboard for discussion. Through listening and telling, we’ll come to understand ourselves and others better, improve our capacity to give and receive support, and clarify our feelings and the meanings in our lives.

The kinds of themes we may use could include things such as: “Home,” “Loss,” “Work,” “Isolation,” “Gratitude,” or many other general themes which we each relate to in our own way.

The summer group will meet 8 Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7pm. Here are the dates:

  • June 16th, 23rd, 30th
  • July 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
  • August 4th

The group will offered over the Zoom platform, and will be co-facilitated by GETME interns Molly Ladd and Caitlyn Madden.

The cost of the group is $10/week.

For more information, or if you’d like to be part of the group, please contact us at info@getme.org, or call (207) 699-4979.
