In our work together, all of you is welcome. I am honored to accompany you in your process of healing, understanding, and integrating your whole self – a whole self which may even include parts that you’ve adapted to reject or disconnect from.
My therapeutic orientation is relational, experiential, feminist, and trauma-informed. I believe in incorporating an embodied approach to healing, having facilitated trauma-informed yoga before beginning my training as a counselor. Research indicates that counseling is very effective in creating positive change, though the form it takes will vary depending on your needs; throughout our time we will work creatively to tailor therapy to your particular challenges and strengths, and find ways to support your own capacity for self-reflection. Together, we will explore past experiences as well as present-moment unfolding. I will unwaveringly believe in your potential for growth, and provide safety for you to access that belief, too.
In addition to supporting all clients through life’s challenges and uncertainties, I have specific interest in working with the following populations: individuals interested in healing their relationship with food and/or body image and those struggling with disordered eating or chronic dieting, as well as those navigating the perinatal experience including abortion, infertility, birth trauma/birth experience integration, and postpartum adjustment. I look forward to connecting so that we can explore whether we may be a good fit.
