I am a counseling intern through the Counselor Education graduate program at the University of Southern Maine. I aim to foster an environment that is safe, non-judgmental, and trusting. In our sessions, we will attend to a constellation of feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, as well as the ways these human experiences interact and are constructed and understood. I commit to seeing you through our collaborative process in order to set goals, gently explore past wounds, and recognize old and current patterns in order to heal and grow.
I foreground empathic being-with and exercise my belief that you contain the knowledge of what is best for you, which you can access with guidance and accompaniment. I work with individuals and couples, including non-romantic dyads (i.e. friends, co-workers, etc.). As I settle into my theoretical orientation, I am honing skills in emotion focused therapy, gestalt practices, dialectical behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and family systems approaches.
