We all experience fear, anxiety, loneliness, and sadness. Counseling can help you navigate life’s challenges. As your counselor, I will be your co-explorer. I will be fully present with you, deeply interested in you, and completely accepting of you as we discover how you want to live your life. My style is genuine, warm, and supportive. We may look to your past history and your future potential but our emphasis will be on the “here and now” of the time we share together.
Greater awareness of ourselves and our emotions in the present moment helps us to face our challenges and live more authentically, no matter the circumstances. Having practiced yoga and meditation for 15 years, I will draw on mindfulness practices to keep us in the “here and now.” I have come to counseling after a long career in law and affordable housing.
