GETME Covid-19 Protocols

We ask that all persons who wish to participate in in-person meetings at GETME observe the following safety protocols:

General:

All persons must demonstrate proof of full vaccination against the virus. Exceptions for medical reasons may be granted on a case by case basis. This requirement does not apply to meetings that are advertised and intended to be delivered fully via Zoom. Please either upload a photo of your documentation to the portal, or bring your documentation with you to the first meeting. (If you don’t have portal access, please ask and we’ll send you a link!)

If you are experiencing minor cold symptoms, please test before you come to a meeting. If you test positive, please do not come! If you test negative, please wear a mask.

If you have a fever, even if you test negative, please do not come!

Covid-19 Exposure:

CDC no longer recommends that everyone who has been exposed to the virus must automatically quarantine. In the event that you are exposed to Covid-19:

  • If you are vaccinated and boosted,
  • If you have no symptoms,
  • If you test negative on the day of the meeting,
  • If you wear a well-fitted, high-quality mask (i.e., N95, KN95),

Then you may attend the meeting. Please observe this for 10 days following exposure.

If you develop symptoms get a test and please stay home!

Mask Optional/Mast Required/Pivot to Zoom

Events advertised as in-person will held at the GETME office so long as pandemic conditions allow. Our contingency plan is based on CDC’s community transmission categories as they apply to Cumberland County, Maine. Here is how we will work with each category. On the date of the meeting:

  • If the transmission level is HIGH (Red), we will meet via Zoom.
  • If the transition level is MEDIUM (Yellow), we will meet in-person with masks required.
  • If the transition level is LOW (Green), we will meet in-person with masks optional.

We hope these policies will clarify what you can expect, and how GETME will handle any ups and downs of the pandemic.
