Wounded Healers

“Only the wounded physician heals… and then only to the extent he has healed himself.” – Carl Jung

A Personal Growth Group for Therapists
12 Mondays, 5:30-8:00pm
Starts Monday, April 29th

Most therapists enter the field after having had their own struggles (anxiety, depression, neglect, abuse, trauma, fractured families, illnesses, deaths, etc.). In fact, it is often because we have suffered that we are able to offer the kind of understanding, compassion, and authenticity that so benefits our clients.

Yet, owing to the nature of our work — wading into intimate contact with the pain of others — it is possible for clinicians’ suffering to be reactivated in session with their clients. For this reason, it’s important for therapists to continue to explore their own issues.

If you’d like to do some of that work in a closed-group setting, with warmth, support, humor, and real permission to dig into your stuff — and if you like the idea of championing the healing of your fellow therapists — then this group may be for you.

If you are interested, or have any questions, please contact me. We’ll need to meet and talk before deciding whether or not to move forward.
